Istalif Ceramics
The pottery made in northern Kabul [Shamali Plains], have been done so for 100's of years. It has a local consumption as they are cheap to produce. More refined pieces that don't have markings of tripots are a lot more expensive because a few are baked in a kiln. While tiles are made in Mazar and Herat, pottery for the most part is made in Istalif.

A student of ustad Mashal, Younus is a miniaturist - one of the few left in Afghanistan. His style of Behzad miniatures is unique and perhaps he is the only one left to produce this many miniatures - commissioned by The Galleria.
